BELLAGIO HALF SKYRACE RULES

Art. 1. Organization

The competition is organized by the A.S.D. nscBellagioSkyteam, in collaboration with the Alpini association of Bellagio, Pro loco of Bellagio, Le aquile Civenna, US Bellagina and with the contribution of the Municipality of Bellagio.

Art. 2. Race

The Bellagioskyrace will take place on 29 October 2023, with departure and arrival from the Europa lakefront of Bellagio. The race has a development of 14 km and unfolds on mountain paths that surround the peninsula and with a positive difference in altitude of 900 meters.
Registration for the race implies acceptance, in all its parts and without reservations, of this regulation. By registering, each competitor undertakes to fully comply with the aforementioned Official Competition Regulations, freeing the organizers from any civil or criminal liability for any accident, for damage to persons and/or things derived from him or caused by himself, which may occur for the entire duration of the event.
To participate it is good to take note, although it is not an ultra race, of the length and difficulties that a race in nature entails and to be adequately trained to face it.

Art. 3. Route changes or cancellation

The organization reserves the right to modify the route or the location of the first aid and refreshment posts at any time, without any notice to the athletes. In case of adverse weather conditions (cold, rain, strong risk of thunderstorms or other) and for safety reasons, the organization reserves the right to:
postpone or cancel the departure;
Change or shorten the route;
Suspend the race during its course or modify the time barriers.
In case of cancellation of the race, the registration fee will not be refunded

Art. 4. Admission conditions

In order to be admitted to the competition, competitors must meet all of the following conditions:
1-Be in possession of a valid competitive medical certificate for athletics, skyrunning, cross-country skiing, ski mountaineering, triathlon, sport climbing. The certificate must be delivered in certified copy together with the registration form.
With their registration, the competitors certify that they are in such physical and mental condition to be able to face the race and acknowledge that they have documented the risks and difficulties of the route.
2-have a fisky card (it is possible to subscribe to a fisky day card during registration at a cost of € 5.00).

Entries can be made directly through the Endu portal and by following the instructions on the website www.bellagioskyrace.it

Art. 6. How to register

Registrations for the races can be made online on the website www.bellagioskyrace.it at the race registration link. In addition to payments with Paypal, credit card, direct bank transfer, bank transfer, satispay, sofort…

AT AFFILIATED SHOPS
In case of registrations made in affiliated shops (Radaelli Sport and 3Passi Morbegno / Patagonia) by filling in the online forms, to formalize the registration it is necessary to deliver a copy of the medical certificate.

ENTRY FOR THE BELLAGIO HALF SKYRACE WILL CLOSE ON THURSDAY OCTOBER 26th

Art. 7. Equipment

They are mandatory:
windproof jacket
water reserve of at least 0.5 liters (the race takes place in a natural/mountain environment crossing the Monte San Primo park, therefore plastic cups will not be distributed at the refreshment points.

Art. 8. Insurance

The organization will take out civil liability insurance for the entire trial period. This insurance does not cover any search costs or transport by helicopter or other exceptional means, the costs of which therefore remain the responsibility of the athlete. Participation in the test takes place under the total responsibility of the competitors, who, with their registration, waive any recourse against the organizers in the event of damages and further consequences that may arise during the race.

Art. 9. Delivery of bibs

The delivery of the bibs and the race pack will take place on Saturday 23 October from 14.00 to 17.30 at the Bellagio sports hall. Sunday morning from 7.00 to 8.30.

Art. 10. Stamping and checks at departure

The bib with chip is expected and the competitors will be automatically punched at the start.

Art. 11. Checkpoints

There are checkpoints along the way. However, the organization reserves the right to carry out checks at any point along the route, without any notice. A final checkpoint is foreseen upon arrival which will allow the timekeepers to establish the final classifications.

Art. 12. Security and assistance

Safety and Medical Assistance will be ensured by organization staff and by a doctor in the starting area. Each athlete has the obligation, under penalty of disqualification, to assist other athletes in any difficulty and to report situations that require rescue or help to the organization staff. One or more volunteers from the organization will ensure the closure of the race and will follow the last competitor. The so-called broom service.

Art. 13. Refreshment points

Along the way there are eight refreshment points plus the final refreshment. Everyone must have their own water bottle or glass.

Art. 14. Maximum time

Three time gates will be set up:
Martina refuge 2h 10′ from departure; Ponciv 3h40′, Paumm 4h40′ .

Art. 15. Withdrawal

In case of withdrawal, the competitor must, compulsorily and promptly, notify the organization staff:
the person in charge of the nearest checkpoint
the volunteers of the “broom” service who close the race
the organization staff in the finish area.

Art. 16. Penalties and Disqualifications

The organization’s staff on the route is authorized to check compliance with the entire regulation and, above all, respect for the environment.
The jury of the competition can decree the disqualification of a competitor in case of non-compliance with the regulation and in particular of:
Bib exchange;
Failure to pass a checkpoint;
Path cutting;
Lack of assistance to another competitor in case of difficulty;
Abandonment of own material along the way;
Pollution or degradation of the place with abandonment of waste along the route;
Disrespectful behavior towards members of the organization or volunteers;
A minimum penalty of one hour is applied for all other breaches of the rules.

Art. 17. Complaints Jury

The protests presented by the athletes will be judged by a Jury composed of:
Head of the timing service;
board members Nsc Bellagioskyteam.
Decisions will be taken compatibly with the obligations of the race, on all grounds for dispute or events that occurred during the race. The resolutions adopted are final.

Art. 18. Leaderboards and Awards

All athletes will be given a goodie bag. There will be prizes for the top five athletes in the absolute men’s ranking and the top five athletes in the women’s ranking.

Art.19. City streets

All roads in the city area will NOT be closed to traffic. Road traffic is open. There is absolute respect and observance of the Highway Code. Traffic officers will supervise the road crossings which will be 5 during the descent phase. In the absence of this employee, the competitor is obliged to respect the precedence and not to hinder the city traffic.

Art. 20. Gardens of Villa Melzi

In the last part of the route, the athletes will enter the gardens of Villa Melzi, which will be the walkway towards the finish in the last 700m. Admission is provided only for athletes with a clearly visible bib on the chest.

Art 21 Cancellation of the tender

In case of cancellation of the race due to force majeure beyond the will of the organization (pandemic, risky climatic conditions, orders from the police) the organization will refund the cost of the registration fee
As an alternative to the previous points, the athlete may decide to keep the registration valid for the 2023 edition by renouncing the refund

Art. 22. Image rights

Each competitor expressly renounces, during the test, to make use of the rights to his own image, as well as renounces any recourse in this regard against the organizer.

Art. 23. Treatment of personal data

Furthermore, by registering for the race, each athlete explicitly authorizes the organization to process their personal data, pursuant to Legislative Decree 196/2003 “Personal data protection code”. Furthermore, in light of the new EU regulation 2016/679 on the protection of personal data (GDPR), the data will be stored and processed in the manner provided.

Art. 24. Assistance on route

The organization will offer assistance-competition with the support of Alpine Rescue in the most demanding sections of the route as well as emergency 118 intervention if necessary. For anything not specified in this regulation, please refer to the rules of the FISKY-ISF 2023 regulation

Art. 25. Timing

Chip timing is provided, managed by Evodata.

Art 26. The Line Start

The departure will take place online at 9.00 from the Europa lakefront. The deployment on the grid is free. A preferential lane will be maintained in order to be able to reserve the front rows for skyrunners considered top runners or with the competitive requirements such as to be able to be placed in the front row line-up.

Art 27. Privacy law

The processing of personal data will take place solely for purposes functional to the activity of ASD BELLAGIOSKYTEAM, pursuant to article 13 of law 675 of 12/31/1996 and subsequent amendments, regarding the sending of information concerning the sport of interest, the use of photos, filmed images deriving from participation in the event.
